Collaborations

So I have been stuck at home all day due to the sickness! But luckily it hasn't been all for nothing, as I found these beautiful pictures which Macushla Burke has taken and collaborated with Kelly Smith with the beautiful illustrations. What a great pairing I say!

And so good to finally see some sun rays break through those thick rainy clouds! Come on spring, I am waiting for you!

Alice Wears Gold

What a productive day I have had! Not only did I manage to finish off a big design job, get some cards and envelopes designed and research books I need to order, but amongst all the busy-ness I found Alice Wears Gold on etsy.

I am a total sucker for jewellery, as I have been working with jewellery for just over 3 years now, so finding a sweet gem like this is amazing! I absolutely adore her jewellery and creativity, so make sure you check out her complete profile on etsy.

My favourite is the camera necklace!

Enjoy

Beautiful little abode.

(.)

This morning I woke up to a bit of a messy house. Looking after three boys/men (you can never really tell the difference!) it sure takes it's toll on the house! So I thought, might as well try do something different, new decoration, new arrangement, just something that will make a new vibe to our little abode.

Oh and I realized my beautiful new clock stopped working again! Don't know if it's the battery or if I have to go exchange it again, so I am stuck on what time to make it! 3.30? 4.00? Does time have significance?

Just a random thought for the day :)

Best memories of this year.

So this might sounds crazy, but only today I realized it is already September...SEPTEMBER people! We are more than half way through the year which means it's only a couple more months and we can look forward to a new year of excitement, surprises, goals and inspirations.

So I thought, what a happy way to remember the good times of the year been so far, than to make a list! So here are my Top Memories of this year (in no particular order):

Mission's trip to Mozambique.

One of my most memorable times would be this trip. The things we saw, felt, experienced there cannot be put into words, but you need to experience it for yourself. Africa will always be a part of me.

My beautiful new niece and nephew.

Zoe Hope and Mark Gabriel. Both born this year, so our family is expanding!

Graduation.

Officially have my Media Arts degree, majoring in Graphic Design.

The Great Walk.

Completing the most intense 4-day tramp of my life! We were pushed physically and mentally, but I am so proud we made it!

21st.

Great to be 21! And we celebrated my birthday this year 1920's style, what a great day!

1st Year Wedding Anniversary.

I cannot believe it has been a year (well almost two now!). I am the most blessed person to have such an amazing husband. I love him with all my life!

Weddings.

My two favourite people got married in the last year, and it was the best time celebrating their happy day! (Top photo: Polli, Bottom photo: Here Comes the Sun.)

Family.

Seeing my family again for the first time in 5 years and getting the opportunity to meet Neil's family as well. Both our families live in South Africa, so it is very hard to see them often.

I know there's probably plenty more wonderful memories, but these ones are the best ones to stick out for me this year.

Life is wonderful!

What's your best memories from this year so far?

Munieca

I am so grateful for creative minds like these! Best find of the day so far are these cutesy little pieces by Munieca. I am truelly and utterly in love with the little birdies and those gorgeous patterns! It won't be hard to be addicted to Etsy when you find such great artists like these.

What's you favourite Etsy find today?

Smells like spring

(.)

So I assume we can officially say it is Spring now? I can't help but smile on my way to work, seeing all the trees filled with blossoms and smell the sweet scent of new life! And isn't it great seeing some sunshine again?!

It's strange, but I swear we have a different sun during Spring/Summer than the rest of the year. Like it has a softer, warmer feel to it. I don't know how to explain it. But it's definnitely different!

And with Spring comes new love. I think everyone around me is in love (including myself!) that it totally makes me excited to see what's ahead for the rest of the year!

New. Fresh. Inspiring.

Can you feel the love?
