(The Dying Swans)

Such a stunning collection of photos, that captures me even though it does have an eerie feel to it.

I am back again tomorrow, so will make sure I come say hello to you all :)

Teeny tiny litte treasures

(Image 1, image 2 & 3)

This weekend we are away at the snow again (fingers crossed for good weather this time!) so I will leave you with these sweet little creatures to enjoy. I am taking my Diana and Supersampler with me this time round, so I am hoping to get some good shots in.

Enjoy your weekends! x

Books, bags and pictures to take.

(Lauris Love)

I cannot believe it is almost September! This year has gone by way too fast, I reckon. So with only four months left of this year, I thought I would make a list of the things I still want to accomplish by the end of the year (as you know me, I love my lists!).

So here goes:

- Buy another lomography camera
- Design canvas bags for summer
- Buy my iPhone
- Go to this amazing waterfall near the Mount and this time round, jump off the top cliff (I am super scared of heights!)
- Go camping
- Do the most epic shopping trip down in Wellington
- MAKE Christmas gifts
- Redesign my website
- Read four more books (I am a slow reader! Any recommendations?)
- Design a tattoo
- Host an epic dinner party
- Learn to sew a clutch purse

There's actually a lot more to it, but that can be for another post :)

Anyone got any exciting plans to make before the end of the year draws near?

I try get to everyone's blogs, so I can see what lovely inspiring posts you have also. If you have any other feedback on what you would like to see more of on here, please let me know :)

(alex duvall)

I enjoy the simplicity of Alex Duvall's photography. He doesn't over complicate his work. And to think, he's only 17! And just a side note...I love that skirt in the second photo!

Jessie Roth

(jessie roth)

I am so impressed when I come across an amazing flickr account just to find out that the person is only 16! That is the case with this photographer, Jessie Roth. I am particularly in love with her work, because I feel I can relate to so many of her photos. Saved as a flickr favourite for me!

Here's to Love.

(heather h photography found via ruffled)

Love is such a beautiful thing. It starts with a small spark and along with time it is something that can completely consume you. Heather captures the youthful joy and simplicity in her couple and wedding photos that I absolutely adore. And the tones are stunningly beautiful against the backdrops.

This Much Love Monday, there are only a few things that I particularly love:

{I love LOVE} Like I said, it is such a beautiful thing! And it always GROWS!
{I love and adore my hubby} More than ever, this last week, I have been falling in love with him all over again!
{I love my relationships} My family is part of my core and I can't go without them. My friends, ah we share such amazing relationships! We all grew up together, got married together, and sometime (in the near future I hope!) will be growing families together.
{I love my Daddy} Wow, He never ceases to amaze me :) He is so, so good!

I am feeling a bit teary eyed after this post. So here's to LOVE this Monday :)

Thoughts.

This is my focus for the day, week, year...eternity.

Time to step out :)

Mr Yen

Let me introduce you to Jonathan, Mr Yen.
A very talented guy from the UK that has taken on the hobby of papercuts and illustrations, and has succeeded beautifully! What astounds me though, is that he manages to make these amazing intricate paper cutouts while studying graphic design fulltime.

A-mazing!

Home sweet home.

(image 1&2. image 3&4. found via uydurukcudan)

There are some things I must have in my future home:

Firstly, it must have a loft (as uncommon as that may be in New Zealand, I want one. I must have one) with a rich colour wood ladder taking me to my upstairs office.

Secondly, it must be predominantly white, with vibrant colours splashed throughout my house in the form of one-off cushions, art prints, books, glass bottles and frames.

Thirdly, shelves, I want lots and lots of shelves. Shelves for books, magazines, frames, ornaments and cameras.

A girl can dream surely?

Just drive.

(girl hula)

I want to go away. I want to take a camera and capture every small detail of an adventure, of an epic journey that takes you to unknown places. I want to get in the car and just drive. Not knowing where you are going or what you will be doing. And I want to capture that.

Sounds like a bit of a project! Keep your eyes open, this sounds like fun, so might actually do it when the weather clears up! Hah, fun!

Awaiting news.

(lush bella)

I love hearing good news! The kind of news that stays in your mind for days, the kind of news that when you think back on it you can't help but smile and butterflies starts to rise in your tummy. This week I am awaiting the good news. My sister in law is due with her beautiful baby this week and the anticipation is killing me!

So, little sprout, I can't wait to finally meet you! Love from your auntie x

I don't care too much for money.

(candi mandi)

First off, sorry lovelies for my absence these last few days! I have been too sore to do anything more that just want to lie in bed and read. I don't think I have ever fallen so much on my bum/arm/spine/neck/wrists/knees as what I did on the slopes this last weekend! Pain is going to be my friend for the next few days I think. So I think I am going to return to the couch for now! Anyone got any suggestions of how to make all the muscle pain go away??

Someone go make me a cuppa please! :)
