So I could possibly be obsessed with interiors at the moment!

I totally want to steal all my mums containers and tins which she has collected since I can remember (some which are so similar to the ones above). I am starting my collection, but just on a smaller scale - technically I am not allowed to buy any more decor for our little house until we move into a proper one (by the husband's rules haha). So until then, all I can do is dream and admire interiors such as these :)

So daylight savings officially hit us yesterday, which means I am still trying to catch up on my hour's sleep which I missed out. And to make it worse, I am such a shocker without my sleep! Hah, should be a very interesting Monday! :)

Finding new things to love every day :) Can you believe there are so many facets to "love"?? Love is a person, and oh isn't He beautiful!

Thought I would share some amazing Polaroids with you today! I absolutely adore the American-Indian theme in these photos and the hazy feathers. It's beautiful the way the rays of light catches the edges of the feathers to expose the texture in that first photo :) Ah beautiful!

I felt so productive today! I actually took the time to de-stitch an old dress and will be attempting to remake it and spice it up using a different material. Eventually, I would love to also make beautiful goodies like the ones sold in the Litte Jane St store. Got to start somewhere, so I've bought myself a beautiful notebook and some ink pens and will start the sketching!

Also, wow so thanks for all the amazing thrifting feedback I got from yesterday! It's very encouraging to see that it may not just be me struggling to find some goodies every time you go. Fingers crossed I can find some goodies this weekend :)

The art of thrifting.

Okay, confession time.
I don't have very good thrifting skills yet. Every time I seem to go out to find some beautiful vintage finds, I come home nearly empty handed. I just cannot seem to find such beautiful pieces as what I seem to see on everyone else's flickr/blogs. I reckon there's a real art to thrifting. You need to have the eye to know where to look and how long to look for (hah, I seem to give up pretty quickly!).

So here are some pretty little thrift finds which I wish was mine!



Tins, tins, so many tins! I love tins and glass vases and any little storage containers.





I always look out for books with nice covers (if you didn't know, go read my post judge a book by it's cover). So even if I am not planning on reading it, I will still by it!

Gosh, I cannot get enough of the papercuts! I just don't if I would ever have the patience to do these in such detail, so I take my hat off for everyone that does! Well, I am keeping it short as I WILL be having an early night in with no more technology. Ready for a book and a snuggle.

I've been adoring lots of homes this last week. As you may know, we Spring cleaned our house (thank goodness!) and I've just been in the process now of redecorating a bit. It's a tad hard though as our home is like a granny flat (bedroom and living room is one) so it's quite small and over decorating it makes it look cluttered.

Thank goodness for such incredible inspiration such as these! I definitely need to find myself some more good frames to paste artworks all over my walls. Has anyone got some nice pics to share of your homes? Would love to see them, so share your links lovelies :)

Judge a book by it's cover.

Okay, so I know this sounds bad, but it's true(in my opinion): I always judge books by their covers. Always. If the cover doesn't appeal to me, I probably won't read it! I don't know if it's just the designer in me that cries out for creative cover concepts, or whether I am just being picky.

Also, thanks to everyone's great recommendations on books! I am taking them all into consideration next time I am standing in front of the Penguin Classics shelf :)

There is seriously nothing better than spending a sweet Monday on the computer with a cup of tea and our dear beloved etsy. I have just finished spring cleaning my home this past weekend and now it just needs a touch of etsy. These are some of sweet finds I stumbled upon and thought I would share :)

Break time.

It's time for a break.
Who knew cleaning the house could be so tiring?? I've done three loads of washing, been through my tallboy and bedside drawers, our old collection of CD's and books and cleaned out all the junk that's been accumulated throughout the years. This etsy shop brought me some inspiration for making me house look gorgeous. And I've got some money saved up, so I think I might go a bit etsy crazy to redecorate my home.

So, better get back into it. Anyone else cleaning this weekend or am I the only poor soul doing a Spring clean? :)
