Special Day for a Special Lady.

As you would have seen on Amanda's blog yesterday, we had the wonderful opportunity to treat our dearest friend to a lovely baby shower over in Tauranga. With the perfect view, gorgeous sunny day, sweet treats and the lovely ladies attending, the day was perfect! If you follow me over on twitter, you would know this was my first attempt at making cake pops and what a treat it was! Although I will say this, you can only have one of these devilish treats at a time as you can feel your waistline expand in one bite hah! But totally worth it :)

What a perfect Easter this was! A long weekend away with our dearest and closest, to enjoy the sun, food and relaxing. Raglan is one of the closest and best beaches around here, so will never pass up an opportunity to go for a visit, especially since we won't be seeing much more of her for a while.

If you follow me on Twitter, you will probably know that Neil and I made a huge life decision recently, to take a risk, be adventurous and pack up our bags and head for the big city life in...Melbourne! That's right friends, in less than five weeks, we will be in the creative capitol of Australia, exploring the countless lanes, be inspired by the art, music and fashion and enjoy doing something we have never done before. My anticipation and excitement is growing by the second, but with that comes a great sadness of leaving all that we love and hold dear to us. I know obviously it's not like we are parting ways never to see our friends and family ever again, but it still feels quite surreal to think of not seeing these incredible people in my life every day.

So if you are from Melbourne, don't be shy, come say hello and give me some insight to this wonderful city! 

New Release Totes.

Pretty happy to be sharing a couple new release totes with you all today. I know it's been a little while coming, but finally I have all four tote designs ready for purchase from my shop :) So many ideas are still brewing in my head, so this is only the start of much bigger things to come in the future! I've only done a limited print run of these designs, so get in quick to score the tote you want.

La Cigale French Markets.

What a treat it was to come across the La Cigale French Markets in Parnell on the weekend. A couple of our friends recommended that we stop at these markets on our recent day trip to Auckland, and of coarse we just couldn't resist but make a stop there when we arrived. Such a delightful vibe these markets had, with stalls of authentic French and some Italian foods, spices and meats. I could already see recipes forming in my mind as we tasted the range of flavours from the stalls. After all the tasting, we came back for the chocolate eclairs (of coarse!) and the organic German sausage hot dog - divine! Would definitely recommend these to anyone heading to Auckland during the weekends :)

Celebrations.

I love celebrating things...especially when it's celebrating my birthday! I got majorly spoiled over the weekend with 3 days full of celebrations. On Friday morning, Neil went through all the effort of laying out heaps of post-it notes around the house and to lead me to different birthday surprises (included in this was a voice message he recorded for me singing happy birthday!).





I decided to host a little dinner party with a few friends, which was absolutely amazing! There's nothing I like more than hanging out around the fire with a glass of wine with some good food and good company. And since yellow is one of my favourite colours at the moment, we themed the pom poms, macarons, straws and cake all in yellow!

Cannot wait for the next time I get to host a dinner party, such fun!
