Design Made Trade.

Colourful Rowena Martinich stand at Design Made Trade.

A couple of weekends ago, I couldn't resist but stop in at the annual Design Made Trade, a boutique event showcasing Australian and international design culture. With a huge variety of disciplines on display, (including graphic design, textile, furniture, jewellery design and more) I loved looking through all the bright, eye catching, and inspiring vendors on display.
It was such a pleasure to pop over at The Hungry Workshop stand while visiting, as I have been a fan of their work for a while now and admire their unique and quirky letterpress work. And not to mention, the wonderfully cleverness that is PrintTogether, a company that focuses on making printing more environmentally sustainable and economical by printing several customer's print jobs together. Definitely worth checking out if you are in need of some printing! I am definitely planning on using them in the future for projects.

The Clubmaster.

A couple of weeks ago a package arrived on my doorstep that I couldn’t have been more excited about. The sunglasses that I have adored for the past 6 months, has finally made its way into my hands.

The Clubmaster. Not only does it have a name that stands out above the rest, they are very chic in design and reign in quality. I have always wanted a pair of sunglasses that were more delicate in looks, without it being fragile, and The Clubmaster offers all that, with no doubts about their sturdiness or lifespan. They are my top choice from the Ray Ban collection!

So thank you to the sweet folk at Vision Direct for sponsoring me a pair of these! With such speedy service and quality product, I will be back for more!

Monday.

I don't think I have ever in my life looked forward to Monday morning as much as what I am for this one! I officially start my new job Monday and couldn't be more excited about it. When Neil and I set off to Melbourne, we came here with a purpose to pursue our careers and advance in them. And now, happy to say that that is becoming a reality. As with any new challenges, I am pretty nervous and excited about this week, so tonight I am hitting the hay early.

Very happy :)

Amanda Jane Jones: My Better Half

Last month I stumbled upon this adorable blog by Amanda Jane Jones while I was reading through one of my favourite design blogs, Design Love Fest. I immediately fell in love with her posts 'My Better Half' - a unique and adorable look at different bloggers/creatives with their partners. Such a simple, sweet idea that captures that unique love between two people. No two couples are the same, which is what makes these posts so beautiful and inspiring, plus you get a glimpse into the lives and dynamics of different relationships. So cute!

The Wayfarer.

Oh trusty Wayfarer, how I can always count on you! In the past, I used to move through sunglasses fairly quickly; whether that be from losing them, breaking them, or just buying a style that dates quick or never suited me. That was up until I invested in a good pair of the Ray Ban's Wayfarer sunglasses and they have been my buddy ever since.

I love that they are so sturdy (it has survived many a days in a handbag filled with a variety of hard objects, whether that be my Kindle, diary or perfume!) and have managed to survive the times of change. I know trends and fads come and go, but I feel that the style of the Wayfarer is timeless.

I originally purchased these back in New Zealand a while ago, but this awesome Australian online shop, Vision Direct, sell a load of awesome Ray Ban (and other) sunglasses at some pretty decent prices!! Take my word for it, now is a good time as any to invest in a good pair of sunnies, so head on over to my friends at Vision Direct and they will sort you out with an awesome pair :)

Three cheers for the Wayfarer!
Anyone else have a special pair of sunnies? :)
